BETTER DECISIONS.
DEEPER UNDERSTANDING.
Understand how people think, feel and behave. Our research connects what matters to your customers with the decisions that matter to your business.
Eye & emotional tracking
What people notice is only part of the story. We use eye tracking and complementary biometric measures to explore attention and response across communications, digital experiences and physical environments.
Depending on the question, a study may combine eye movement, participant feedback and physiological measures such as EEG or ECG. These measures provide different perspectives on an experience; their value comes from thoughtful study design and interpretation together.
Testing can take place on screen, in a research setting or in the real world using mobile equipment. The aim is to understand where an experience holds attention, creates friction or needs a different approach.
Human movement studies
The way people move through an environment can reveal opportunities that a floor plan cannot. We study patterns of movement and interaction to help improve retail, service and other physical experiences.
The research question determines the method, the observation points and the information required. A study can explore how people navigate a space, which areas attract attention and where the intended journey breaks down.
We consider the setting, participant information and data handling as part of the study design, with the aim of collecting only what is needed to answer the question.
Virtual & mixed reality
Test an idea before committing to a physical build. Virtual and mixed reality can help people experience proposed environments, layouts or communications while changes are still practical.
A study may use rendered environments or a combination of photography and digital elements. This makes it possible to explore alternatives such as store refits, packaging, signage and in-store displays without producing every option at full scale.
Digital testing & benchmarking
Understand how well a website, application or digital service works for the people using it. We examine the tasks, expectations and moments of friction that influence the experience.
User testing and benchmarking can inform an initial design, prioritise improvements or help a team assess an existing experience. Findings are connected to practical decisions about content, interaction and delivery.
Colour & accessibility testing
A design needs to communicate clearly to the people who encounter it. We assess the use of colour, contrast and legibility across digital experiences, communications, identities and physical wayfinding.
The work can help identify where meaning depends too heavily on colour or where visual choices make content harder to understand. The scope and assessment criteria are agreed for each project.
Secret shopping & service experience
Look at the experience from the customer’s side. Structured observation can reveal the difference between a planned service journey and what happens in practice.
We use clear scenarios and evaluation criteria to explore retail experiences, field service and operational interactions. The findings can support service improvements, process changes and staff development.
Panel research & collaborative sessions
Bring customer perspectives into the decisions that shape your business. Online panels, discussion groups and collaborative research sessions can help explore needs, reactions and emerging ideas.
We design the format around the question, whether the work calls for structured feedback, deeper discussion or facilitated design and innovation sessions.
